“I was in the middle of a divorce, struggling financially and trying to keep everything together while raising two teenage boys. It was a tough time. One afternoon I looked out of the window and saw my oldest son coming home with about five of his buddies from the high school baseball team. I didn’t have a lot of food in the house and I panicked. I threw together whatever I could find in the kitchen and Carolina Bean Dip was created.”

The dip became popular with friends and neighbors and eventually led Kim to the love of her life, Steve Walden. Together, Kim and Steve refined the recipe and now offer three delicious varieties:
